Middle of the road! Elegance in that this wine is not overstated. Does not try to be anything it is not. It is not over oaked, it's just right. Traditional fruit comes through and is well backed up. But at the end of the day, this is a wine you will forget. Thankfully the QPR is good. Still a nice showing from Elyse. — 7 years ago

You folks have heard of Elyse Winery, right? They make probably my most favorite zins in Napa. Well this is their other label, named after their son (Elyse is their daughter) - which comprises their estate Cab, a Petite Sirah (from Hayne) and a Bordeaux blend. We bought this many years ago while visiting there and completely lost it somehow until tonight. So beautiful and, more so, a great memory from a past trip. Nice blackberry fruit and chocolate flavors. Not a terribly big wine - soft and smooth and drinking perfectly. — 7 years ago
