Ella from Total Wine rec'd this Spanish red blend. Usually don't like; but, this one very tasty. Grenache 37%, Carignan 21%, Cab Sauv 12%, Sarah 8%, Can Franc 4%, Monastrell 2%, Tempranillo 2% ($29.99). Worth it! — 9 years ago

One of the great syrah of Israel. You gets all the notes of typical syrah with a bit Israeli sunshine. — 9 years ago

Breakside Brewing/Fremont Brewing Back to the Future IPA. The similarly named beer put out by Fremont in May during Seattle Beer Week had Jarrylo & Equinox hops. This version released by Breakside for Portland Beer Week has Azacca & Ella hops. New, experimental hop varietals in each. Both really good and distinct hop notes, although prefer the Fremont release as less sweet. — 10 years ago

Excellent kosher red wine! Full bodied, but not too spicy or harsh in the body. Well received by all those who tried it. — 10 years ago
This lovely Israeli Syrah from 2006 is just at its peak !!!
It has a deep purple color, a lovely nose of violet, blueberries, vanilla, black current and a touch of elegance, full body, with well balanced and smooth tannins, perfect acidity, a long long balanced yet chewy finish. The wine is truly balanced and at it peak. My score 90, drink to 2016, perhaps longer. — 10 years ago
Perfect wine for baking a cake. According to Natalie's book on french parenting, we're supposed to be feeding Ella yogurt cake — 11 years ago
*This wine needs a full day to open up* A hint of Brett, more of a medium-heavy Cab Franc, with good tannin. The ripe fruit comes together after a day and the wine turns from disjointed acid to lovely and rich. — 9 years ago
Delicious Syrah from McLauren Vale. Delightful way to end the day. Recommended by Ella at Total Wine, The Rim — 9 years ago
Unmistakeable brett! Considering its age, I was pleasantly surprised that this Merlot still had legs to stand on. An enjoyable wine! — 9 years ago

Lovely 12 Barbera! Eating and drinking with friends Kyle Glennon and Ella Dorsey. Grilled salmon, asparagus and tossed spring salad. Excellent meal!!! — 10 years ago
Surprising, reminiscent of a light port or sherry with strong raisin overtones, but slightly less sweet. Almost unsure how to rate it given its unique flavor. — 10 years ago
Bam. Delicious IPA. I'll be looking for this one when I get to London. — 10 years ago
