I'm not sure if the new Zalto glassware plays a part, but the nose is open with loads of dark fruit, anise, and hint of leather. The palate is full, round, blackberry, blueberry, elderberry and well integrated tannins. The fruit is lively for 18 yrs old. — 9 years ago

2009. Black Mission fig, elderberry, and cassis with licorice and fresh leather. The structure is a true beauty and the number one reason I love Margaux terroir. Pure, perfect, proper expression of soil. The oak is toasty and warm with vanilla and spice. The finish is slippery and I like the way it drinks now. ... and maybe 3-5 years from now. — 10 years ago

Wonderful floral accents. Lychee & elderberry. — 11 years ago
Peachy nose. Very nice complexity for a really inexpensive bottle therefore highly rated. Quince and a tad of bitterness - Elderberry! Good acidity starting to develop the old Riesling character some people deceive as fresh cut garden hose - long - a steal 💥. — 9 years ago
A great pale rose, it presents with notes of elderberry and a generally crisp taste but has a gentle nutty finish like most good roses. — 9 years ago

Drink Now! Dark berry and coffee on the nose. In the glass a little bit of refined earth. Dark cherry. Not very acidic. Herbal on the finish - Elderberry? Very elegant and delicate. The opposite of an in your face wine. A beautiful textbook Volnay. From a lesser vineyard but hey Mark Haisma is a magic winemaker. An excellent food wine salmon, duck or coque aux vin. Was sold by Amitie Wines online. But they will not sell the 2013 as the quality was not there. — 9 years ago
