Staff tasted this at Market Table NYC. This wine is beautiful. The best of Beaujolais style and California in perfect harmony. Very fresh, bright and elegant gamay. Thank you Raj Parr, Duncan Arnot, and Nathan Roberts! — 10 years ago
fruit forward crowd pleaser thanks @John H Duncan — 11 years ago
Duncan saved the best for last at his arlequin wine merchant tasting. Tasting through the new chards and pinots, I wondered about how these wines age because they sure seemed tight and the Pinot was even tannic. This 2009 Syrah, however, was wonderful and open, showing all sorts of dark berries, pine, mint, forest-y character, and nice felty tannins. I'd decide to wait on the others, too! — 11 years ago

Notas de frutas maduras, especiarias doces, boa estrutura, taninos redondos, fácil de tomar. Safra 2013 em julho de 2016, no Bistrô Isadora Duncan, Florianópolis. — 10 years ago
This a fabulous claret (Bordeaux style blend) with balance, layers & nuance of the many grape varieties in this heavenly blend which is among my all-time favorites! A wine worth every penny too. Duncan prepared an outstanding Chateaubriand nice & rare ! — 10 years ago
Great find! Light spritz upon opening, with lime and soft underripe pear up front--pleasant clean finish. Minerals. Great balance--paired with crispy skin sea robin. $20. Tho not an amazing bottle, it's versatility with seafood makes it a certain winner. @Ian Duncan — 11 years ago

Dammit, @Duncan! This is elegant and lovely but just not exciting! It's perfectly good and perfectly boring. Though I will say this: it stood up to tomatoes. — 13 years ago

15.5% alc, 368 cases produced.
Full of respect for their new directions and individual endeavors (read; IPOB) kudos to Pax Mahle (and Duncan Meyers) for yet another great wine from an era past.
Certainly in the "high octane-category" but still drinking amazingly well at age 13 and probably for another 3+ years.
