This wine is coming together with time. Great nose of baked fruit. Cherry with moderate plus acid on the palate. Not complex, but a straightforward Pinot joy. — 10 years ago

Like the woman of my dreams: round, generous, voluptuous, complex, beautiful and sexy as hell. It's Anita Ekberg in la Dolce Vita, it's Christina Hendricks in mad men. Well you got it. Acidity gives this monster of a wine a delicate touch, an immortal length that is just phenomenal! I have said several times that Yquem is in my opinion, the best wine estate of the planet. I rest my case with this bottle. It's is truly my dream woman — 11 years ago

Slightly smitten. No trace of hardness, delicate but strong, disarming blossom, sweet/pithy citrus, pebbly lemon finish. Utterly delicious Riesling. — 12 years ago

Bright and light with no flaws. Tangy but not tart with fine acid in the finish. — 8 years ago
In 2005 Marie and Frédéric Chauffray came across the perfect plot of land—25 acres on the plateau of Arboras in Terrasses du Larzac, situated in the Langeudoc. They sold the prestigious wine shop they owned outside Paris and embarked upon the dream of making wine, together founding Domaine de La Réserve d'O. Berry fruit and cacao notes. Cherry and mocha with spice and fine tannins. Lingering finish with ending with mineral notes. — 9 years ago

The back of the label reads "what I dream of is an art of balance" and superior balance is what they have achieved. Nose is ripe and rich, with new aromas on every sip. Lemon curd on warm brioche, backing minerality and traces of vanilla & white florals. Palate shows laces of malo, adding a rich velvety aspect to the firm acidity and ripe fruit. Extremely savory and refreshing. Favorite CA chard. — 10 years ago
Light and refreshing. A good summer wine. — 11 years ago
The manic pixie dream girl of rose wine. — 11 years ago
A testament to a visionary winemaker surrounded by people who want to join him in living the dream. Leather and liquorice on the nose, blackberries in the mouth and a long, velvety vanilla finish. Merci, Jean-Michel Comme. — 12 years ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Began as a dream of 2 friends, Ed Selyem & Burt Williams, who pursued weekend winemaking as a hobby in 1979 in a garage in Forestville, CA, and made their first commercial vintage in 1981. Ruby with complex aromas of black & red berries with subtle spice scents. On the palate cherry and strawberry with citrus, cacao, vanilla spice and toasty notes. Aged on French Oak, well balanced, savory, round tannins, lingering nicely ending with some earthy mineral tone, OR style. Has room to age. Very nice! — 8 years ago
