Dégorgé Mai 2012, this one was really interesting, like drinking wine from an antique dresser, in a good way though. — 9 years ago
Nice good in fact very good but not great. The acid and structure were there but the champagne lacked personality. Good shit none the less. — 11 years ago
1995 vintage in magnum (as are all these wines) with Michel Drappier and Gerard. From 3 sites in Urville in the Aube. 90% Pinot, 7% Chardonnay and 3% Pinot Meunière. 1.10 ha in total. Medium golden hue. Apricot, stone fruits, oaky notes, minerality, hazelnuts and toast. Good depth and concentration. Quite classic - not Drappier like at all. Long rich finish. Although there's a richness here, it's still very fresh and youthful. Although there's a lot of hype about this wine, it's really well made and oozes class. It might not be a block buster, but it's a classy wine. NB: the mid palate on this wine is crazy good - the gentle oxidation brings a complexity and richness to the mid palate that is very alluring and morish. I could easily finish the whole mag myself!!! — 11 years ago
Decent bottle of champagne by Scottish New Year standards......not quite a gravelly mouth feel but super-brutish. Some toast, lemon and decent acidity.....definitely quaffable according to the old man, who claims not to be drinking but it is one ahead of me... — 10 years ago
Apparently I'm the first person to review this wine...Too sweet for me but still excellent. Memorable for the very pronounced green apple fruit flavour. An excellent final drink to toast an amazing vacation to India. As a side note, the room I'm sitting in was apparently blown up 7 years. Glad to have survived the food, ice, terrorists, and (most dangerous of all) the traffic. Now I just need to survive a 15 hour flight in economy class. — 11 years ago
Champagne Brut Nature, Blanc de Noir, Pas Dosé, 12%. No added sulfites.
Disgorged in 2013.
Bottle tasted in January 2015.
Golden yellow color, with persistent perlage.
Ethereal and evanescent, with scents of berries such as blackberry and blueberry.
Very crispy in the mouth, with great acidity and astringency, yet well balanced and elegant. — 11 years ago
