Very light and tasty. Hints of apple and pear and citrus. Delish! — 9 years ago
It's a really really really good rose! Light, summery, refreshing. — 9 years ago
This South African Syrah is pricey for the country's wines but it doesn't disappoint. Much like a Northern Rhone style -- packed with fruit, acid and spice in just the right balance. — 9 years ago
Northern rhonish, crazy — 10 years ago
Aside from Willowbridge and Cape Mentelle I have never really explored Western Australian Shiraz. I had no idea Mount Barker was cool climate and was pleasantly surprised to find this wine to be medium bodied. It's quite rich and complex but also elegant to the point that it vaguely reminds you of old world Shiraz from the Northern Rhone. Black pepper and red berry on the nose with a succulent plum flavour on the palette. Tremendous savoury character with soft, fine tannin profile. Solid drop. — 10 years ago
One of my FAV red blends. Cape May, NJ — 12 years ago

Friday night unwinding made perfect with a bottle of good wine. Even when you're out of crackers and have to lay your cheese on Ryvita! 😄 #tgif #pinotage #wineoclock #unwind #fridaynight #fridayfeeling #helloweekend #thankful — 9 years ago
2012 is young but very drinkable. A real treat and a top South African Syrah, tastes like a Northern Rhone. — 9 years ago
Great wine
Have extra bottles to sell should anyone be interested — 10 years ago
Red, mineral, dusty, blood orange. Texture not unlike a good northern Rhône — 10 years ago
Blackberry and a smell of fresh cut Douglas Fir — 11 years ago
Light and citrusey — 12 years ago
This was the 2015. Very full bodied but no bitter or acidic after taste. Incredibly smooth. Great pairing with steak — 8 years ago
Mellow but rich in flavour — 9 years ago
Quite sweet. Very smooth. Definitely buy again. Majestic 11.99 — 9 years ago
Interesting Shiraz and Cab blend. Over 3 hours starts with strappy Shiraz nose, goes to Cab side with red fruit, then gets absolutely meaty like a Northern Rhone. — 9 years ago
Very sweet — 10 years ago
Mutant love child btwn oaked Chardonnay and floral/honeydripping Northern Rhone varietals. — 10 years ago
Like an international wine tour- Bordeaux-like on opening, heads sub-equatorial with a hit of air, but more Chilean or Argentine (Michalene calls it as Carmenere) than S Africa.
Pyrazines remind me of northern Italy cabernet but syrah adds midpalate weight, but not in Barossa or Coonawarra proportions. This is one of the most interesting and compelling cabernet based wines I've had in a long time. Worth seeking out if the provenance is good. — 10 years ago
Nice - quite smooth and light. — 11 years ago
