Light body. Slightly oily. Smells of cat pee. Tastes fruity and herby. Very refreshing. — 8 years ago
Clear deep orange in the glass. Big bosomy nose of white flowers and candied orange peel. Full rich body with medium plus acidity. Lilies and orange peel lead on the palate. Medium finish with a hint of wet stone. Great on its own, but lives for food. — 8 years ago

If you want a Chianti with a bit more “oomph”, such as for a nice veal cutlet, grilled chicken, pasta primavera, grilled eggplant, or similar dish, go with a Chianti Classico or Chianti Rufina in the $12-25 range. — 11 years ago

Blind I would have that it was a delicious older #CaliCab because of its overripe juicy red fruits and velvety tannins, but this Barbera from my favorite boutique Barbaresco producer was a stunner — 6 years ago
