On the palate concentrated berry fruit flavors, a bit jammy and sweet, lively acidity, surprisingly great balance. Firm tannins yielding a medium finish ending with noticeable alcohol. A great example of Clerico's trademark combination of ripe dark fruit and spice and brown sugar, and with a touch of florality, it is drinking very well now. It won't be mistaken for a traditional Barolo, but it has plenty of its own charms to offer and deserves to be appreciated for what it is more than for what it isn't. — 5 years ago

2010 vintage. First thing I notice is the brown, red color. I think I get olive on the nose. Nicely balanced acidity and tannins. The wife thinks she noted dried cherry and licorice. Very interesting wine. — 7 years ago
