Delightfully juicy - cherries- with some nice effervescence — 4 years ago
Substantially above a tasting that included more prestigious appellations and more expensive bottles, all in the same region and all in chenin blanc. Best VfM of a very enjoyable tasting. Nice balance and yet a subtle acidity leaving much to hope for latter years. Drink some, keep some. — 5 years ago
No. 2 in the Vosne Romanee bracket. Some spirity oak notes. A sweetness to the palate with drying fine Tannins. Re- tasting:- Not quite up to the others in this bracket in terms of weight. A little alcoholic and clumsy in this company. My least pointed at 95 points but still a Gold Medal! — 7 years ago
French Chardonnay with more mineral than oak but still a tad of the latter. Much more minerals than a California version. — 9 years ago
Barrel sample. Delicious. Tannin, fruit and aromatics all there — 10 years ago
NV. Vin de France. Syrah. Juicy and ripe. Fantastic. — 11 years ago
The 2012 Cathiard Aux Reignots (along with Malconsorts and Petits Monts, my favorite 1er cru Vosne vineyard), is much more masculine and dark fruited than the MG. Really a great side by side. There is some reduction and prevalent new oak, but there is just such depth and structure to this wine and it’s destined to live for the long haul. But unlike how reticent many 12’s can be right now, as the reduction dissipates, it offers a great deal of pleasure. Reignots is really a special vineyard. — 4 years ago
Súper! Not too sweet. Approachable at any time. — 4 years ago
This wine is stunning. All the things you expect from a north Berkeley wine. I could go on and on with notes but seriously it’s just really fu*%ing good!!! — 4 years ago
Rich with notes of quince and apple. Bright acidity carries it. — 7 years ago
Aromas of fruit compote. Strong tannins, vine, but fresh. — 7 years ago
2014. Very pretty mineral driven white pineapple, tangerine and chalk flavors, with a pleasant viscosity. — 8 years ago
#fws2013 soft and beautiful, well done — 10 years ago

Nice Bourgogne, even 2017 but drinking nicely! — 4 years ago
Initially heavy on the tart cherry and cola flavors. Over an hour, the acidity mellowed and this became fuller — 5 years ago
This is magical. You know when a white is really open for business and showing the benefit not detriment of oxidation? This is that. Compelling and mature and probably in its best spot. Started off as a aperitif and became a food wine and something for contemplation too over a few hours. Great work! — 6 years ago
Light, crisp and refreshing. Tart green apple and pear, medium plus acid. — 7 years ago
Can you even Ardèche, bro? — 8 years ago

Burgundy tasting at foreign cinema. Reallly great with seafood, there was excellent acidity and some earth flavors. Really liked it but was overshadowed by the Chardonnay. — 4 years ago
