It's interesting. This is the second meritage blend I've had in the last little while. This was a blend of 79% cab sav, 12% cab franc, 6% petit Verdot and 4% merlot. I very much enjoyed the CF in here. Wonderful nose. Very perfumed. A lush mouthfeel with silky tannins. An extremely pleasant finish. I knew nothing of Ruston before this but I will have to seek them out in the future.

I must say that I thought I was all about "pure" wines. These last couple of wines have me thinking a lot more about Bordeaux. I don't even know where to start! — 8 years ago

Bit of cranberry and under-ripe strawberry on the nose. Hint of rocks in the rain. Flavors are juicy and crisp. Very southern Rhône styled. Minerality and red pepper. Blood orange.
