To quote Ian Cauble Master Sommelier: "Vinealis is a mind-bending, one-of-a-kind expression of Loire Valley terroir and a master class in French white wine." — 8 years ago
At first it's passionfruit aromas were a little too overpowering however they've seemingly blown off and settled nicely into the background. Cut grass, lemongrass and a subtle smoke have appeared for a while and grapefruit and green apple show themselves too. The palate is tropical with assertive acidity with some pithy character and long finish. At first I didn't really enjoy this, give it a while and serve around 12-14 degrees — 8 years ago
Sentimental fave. Got it at Fromm during 06 harvest when Sebastien Cathiard was working there. Hoarded until roasted chicken earlier this month. Rich, full-blown savory perfectly mature. No regrets. — 8 years ago
sexy, nutty '99 Belle Epoque #Champagne with incredibly creamy finish; served in jero by PJ chef de cave Hervé Deschamps — 9 years ago
Benchmark producer of Pouilly-Fume for me. The 2010 was a bit more polished, and the 2011 a bit more feral. I love both sides of SB. — 9 years ago
Mineral and acid very proper — 10 years ago
long, persistent acidity. the best of the 3, even though i would have preferred to feature another appellation. also, only $16 on the shelf. — 11 years ago
Nicely balanced. Ripe fruit. — 11 years ago
Thank you Sebastien very nice — 7 years ago
Fun, funky, red fruit. Very Loire — 8 years ago
If you find yourself dining alone at herbsaint in NOLA, this bottle makes for pretty good company. Wish you were here g. And @Ryan Mullins know you'd dig this. All the right stuff - peony flower, raspberry and potting soil. Everything I used to hate about Gamay that I now love thanks to @Sebastien Telford-Rake — 8 years ago
These wines need a lot of air. They are intensely mineral and structured wines. Les Loges is a unique place that makes unique wines. Lime, lime leaf, chlorine, mint, bay leaf, hickory switch (shout out to my redneck people who got their asses whooped with hickory switches), and wet rock. I usually hate Sauvignon Blanc. This is emotive for me. — 8 years ago
Great fruity and oaky red wine, from South of France. Amazing with my steak! — 8 years ago
A stable and tasty red, enjoyed on its own or with some tapas in San Sebastien. Good value — 9 years ago
Good full bodied Collioure — 9 years ago
2009. A little oxidized but still good. Would be a good accompaniment to oysters. — 9 years ago
Lovely with steak and prawns and Sebastien. — 10 years ago
boomshakalaka! Bangggeerr. — 11 years ago
Fun and inviting. Easy to drink and a producer to watch — 7 years ago
Far more complex than typical SB or Pouilly Fume. Age making it do some fun things. — 8 years ago

— 9 years ago
A 2010 I tasted at the Château with Sebastien. A nice little Wine for 5€! Although the Château is currently in the Touraine AOP, it will soon be in Chinon, where it geographically belongs. — 10 years ago
Tastes like baby Vosne Romanée to me! So much asphalt aroma and earth I imagine it's a baby Reignots--perhaps young replanted vines? Dark fruit is here but it plays second fiddle to the massive earthy elements. Heat sticks out on the midpalate a touch, but doesn't prevent this from being a monstrous red with an accumulative aroma that brings vinyl to mind. Curious to see where a short term aging curve would take this. Sebastien gleefully acknowledges this is his finest Bourgogne ever. Even with its flaws, Bourgogne should not be able to achieve these aromatic heights! — 10 years ago
Really matured well — 11 years ago
