A comparatively thin Chardonnay, with typical notes of lemon and oak. This wine was quite tasty though and it paired rather well with a variety of cooked fish and sashimi. — 7 years ago
Interesting Pinot. Very tight and green in the beginning. Adapted a character after 1-1.5 hours. Opened up and allowed us to pick up earthy tart dark cherry fruit. — 7 years ago

Medium plus acidity that lasted for the whole bottle and did not open up as I would have hoped. a lot of ripe and tart red fruits, along with some herbaceous notes. I think this may need to sit for a few more years to enjoy its best qualities. — 8 years ago
If you like 'em young, vibrant, and crisp, this is a nice White Burgundy. At $50 from Costco, it's not too bad. As a pre-dinner sipper, perhaps a little too bracing. Lemon, white peach, light flowers... No flaws, but also nothing overly memorable. — 9 years ago

Enjoying a gifted Burgundy from a dear friend, she knows what my palate is like, and strategically chosen wisely to keep a smile on my face!
Struck flint, partially burnt wood, pear peel, dried lemon rind, cold yellow apple, fresh lemon zest, wet sandstone, medium acidity, long finish, very satisfying and not even 1er Cru but drinking like one tonight! Could hold easily another 3-5 years. — 6 years ago
Crisp apple tart mild mineral not as “buttery”. I really enjoyed this wine — 7 years ago
Reminds me why I fell in love with Burgundy. Acid, fruit, kiss of oak....makes Colin a happy boy! — 8 years ago
Sweet, crisp but complex. Peaches and other fruits. — 10 years ago
Delectable! — 11 years ago
One of those white Burgundies that makes you question the logic of the crowd. Why is no one drinking Monnot? It's imported by the same guy who brings in Jamet. Powerful, intense, pure and showing plenty of pedigree, potential, and freshness tonight. — 12 years ago

Complexity hits you right away. Slight oak on the nose and palate. Fresh cut green grass, citrus, hint of pear and acacia flowers on the nose. Awesome minerality and mouth coating acidity on the palate. Ends in a medium plus finish. — 6 years ago
Little wine somewhere buried into my cellar and surprise surprise absolutely delicious. — 7 years ago

Les Folatieres is absolutely a magical vineyard. Energy of the site completely overtaking any wine in the glass. So great hard to put into words the amount of energy and ethereal structure is trapped in here. Thankful to have a few bottles 🙏🏼 — 6 years ago
