Les Vergelesses Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2010
Color is a bit pale, almost looks like aging wine, but the taste proves the opposite—extremely light, open, drinkable bottle. Lots of oak, cherry and tobacco. Tannic, but in a pleasant way. I wouldn't like this wine on any other day, but tonight it turned out to be the perfect choice for lighter Burgundy. — 11 years ago

@Steve Kirsch all of the 03s I've tried are pretty damned good, on the ripe side but nonetheless still quite tasty and very Burgundian.

Guessing this is young vine Ruchottes-Chambertin prior to being de-classified as 1er Cru since M-G does not own Gevrey-Villages or Gevrey 1er Cru. — 10 years ago
