well, this was a score. picked up at one of my accounts off a vintage close-out rack. It still has laser acid, and has a rather unctuous palate. Over-ripe white peach with strong mineral/stone elements on the nose. ripe yellow peach, white melon, long long finish. Delicious. — 6 years ago

Wow. What a great little bottle of burgundy. Nose of smoke and a hint of fresh cherry. So so so so fresh on the palate. Bright fresh cherry on the palate. So much bright acidity. A hint of balancing bitterness. What a lovely wine. Bought from Fass Selections. Better as it opens. Very nice texture. Some depth. This could have upside in two years. And to think the 15s are better ... third note. Ugh. This is not some random monthelie. After an hour it’s starting to be really good. Ugh. — 6 years ago
Great rustic glou glou burgundy. Cherry, dirt, strawberry... — 7 years ago
Killer stuff! Thanks @Industry Wine Merchant — 8 years ago

Strawberries. Big bouquet. Good acidity. Good pick Cabarnet Franc — 9 years ago
I import this and am a HUGE fan so take with appropriate grains of salt. This is my Coche-Dury in waiting. He doesn't have as good terroir but it's all there and reminds me of the Meursault master. Opulent, with beautifully integrated oak, wonderful wet earth on the nose after 15-20 minutes and just a crazy complex palate with perfect balance and length. Really an incredible wine and CRUSHES Lafon Monthelie Blanc which is between 53-70 a bottle. This was 34.99. — 9 years ago
2011 Florent Garaudet Monthelie - intense nose. Wild berry. Earthy. Damson. Striking nose. Sweet fruit and very alive in the mouth. So pretty. — 10 years ago

Monthelie 1 er cru - les vignes rondes - 2006 : Puissant , grande longueur , légèrement anisé . Excellent . — 6 years ago
Tawny in color. The nose combines bright red fruit with mellow barnyard funk. On the palate is liquid candy, big, bright, deep and perfectly balanced. Tart cherry, strawberry, rhubarb, cola with a moderate acid finish. Near or at its prime, but probably will continue to evolve nicely for another 10 years. — 7 years ago
Le Bremner Montreal yum! — 8 years ago
Still love this wine. Shout out @Martin Davies for gifting me a 2002 monthelie a few years back that made me aware of the region — 8 years ago

Cleaner and more delicate than I expected. One of the most elegant Monthelie wines I've come across -- bright raspberry, floral, and herbal. — 9 years ago
Big "THANKS" to Susan @Urchin Bistro for taking care of me! Best place ever in the Mission! — 10 years ago
Old vines. Exceptional terroir. Monthelie village despite it being his BEST wine. Made like a Grand Cru. 30 hl/ha. Raised in rare new oak and only one in Burgundy to have it. Bottled, labeled and corked by hand. No fining and filtration. Serious layered aromas. Tiny concentrated fruits. Super powerful. Like a high end 1er Cru from Volnay and Pommard. Stunning. Long long long long. The ultimate ringer in a tasting. — 10 years ago
