2011 vintage. Medium ruby. Quite closed. Floral, red fruit profile. Medium acidity. Medium minus tannins. Soft and gentle. Bit green in parts. Medium plus on finish. Slightly dilute to suggest this has many years of development ahead of it. Decent and elegant. — 9 years ago

Discrete nose of white fruit with pears and also a slight minty and smoke feel, very discrete. The palate is gorgeous, such balance between the perfect acidity and slight richness of fruit and elegance. Another great 2017 CDB. 90-91

Recognizable as sauv blanc, but so different from my frequent New Zealand sauv blancs. No grapefruit or grassiness. No cat pee. Just classic sauv blanc fragrance and minerality. — 8 years ago
