2008, Cien Y Pico, Doble Pasta Garnacha Tintorera, Manchuela. Hundred year old Grenache vines on their own rootstock. Heavy extraction and probably no fining nor filtering. Intense red and black berry flavors, countered with a lot of spice. Not your typical Grenache but very tasty. Glad I have 2 more. — 11 years ago
Can hold it's own, but best with steak or hamburgers. — 7 years ago
A Bordeaux style blend that really delivers, this wine has all levels of cherry, currant, and coffee flavors, lingering in a dusty tannic finish. — 9 years ago

Very nice white wine from the Azores. Indigenous grape, Arinto, from the Pico area. Lots of unripe citrus peel and stone on the nose. Mouth filling and precise with excellent acid and a long finish. Expressive yet restrained. Great savory saline quality - a wine to be enjoyed over some time as it unfolds. Excellent with oysters and other seafood. — 6 years ago
