This one aging gracefully. Primary fruity and floral aromatics have evolved into loamy dark fruits. On the palate it maintains its elegance and freshness and shows black cherry, black raspberry and subtler spice notes with a very satisfying finish! 2011 Vintage — 8 years ago

The only Blanc Du Bois wine I've ever tasted. Definitely different in a good way. — 10 years ago
Once upon a time Isole e Olena's Cepparello was one of three or four benchmarks of Sangiovese in purezza from the Chianti classico area between Florence and Siena. This gracefully aged 1999 explains why: nothing in excess, just pure and elegant Sangiovese, stilistically much closer to Pinot Noir than Cabernet, firm tannins, fresh acidity, ... I would still buy this kind of wine by the case - but too many producer aim at high scores from critics blinded by power and extract... — 11 years ago
2001 Vintage. Softly dried. Oak barrel taste, light tannin. Excellent aroma. — 7 years ago
The estate dates back to the Crusades, and Scottish navigator, George Smith, the owner in the 18th century. He was followed by M. Duffour-Dubergier, Mayor of Bordeaux, and then Louis Eschenauer, a famous wine shipper. In 1990, Daniel and Florence Cathiard now own the estate. Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, darrk berry aromas, herb and spice. On the palate complex juicy black fruit flavors, cinnamon and cacao notes. Soft tannins, rich and full, lingering, mineral, youthful ending, needs time. — 7 years ago
Lovely on our honeymoon 15 years ago in Florence, lovely now in Rome with our kids! — 8 years ago
Very good wine we picked up on our way down the mountain in Florence. — 9 years ago
Really nice heady cocktail of kirch and cherries on the nose. On the palette, the tannins are in the foreground, but the layered texture is evident. Classic Napa cab with plenty of runway ahead of it. Excellent! — 9 years ago

Smoother than David's tight buttocks. Sitting at the window of Spumantino in Florence makes me want to let this decant for ten hours — 7 years ago
The Antinori family of Florence, one of the world's oldest and distinguished wine producers, has lived in Tuscany since the 14th century and celebrated their 625th anniversary as wine makers in 2010. Deep vivid red with aromas of red fruits and complex spice and flowers notes. On the palate cherry and raspberry flavors with orange zest, cacao and tobacco leaf notes. Structured tannins, nicely balanced ending with mineral and earthy notes on a long finish. Tasting Sample. — 7 years ago

GUADOAL TASSO BRUCIATO 2013 TOSCANA, CAB 20% MERLOT 15% SYRAH Guado a Tasso estate owned by italian super power Antinori 50 miles SW of Florence in Bolgheri by the sea. Bolgheri became known for being the birthplace of Super Tuscans (wines using mainly international varietal like cabernet sauvignon ,merlot, cab franc and syrah )about 50 yrs ago when the benchmark SASSICAIA was first created. Since then the area has been growing immensely producing some great expensive wines( Sassicaia, Ornellaia , Masseto) but also some affordable easy drinking ones like BRUCIATO that encloses softness of the smell of the breeze that touches Bolgheri and its hills is expressed in the glass with a deep ruby red and hints of cherry, blackberry and sweet spices. In the mouth ,is elegant and cozy ,thanks to a delicate softness , also due to the refinement of 12 months in new oak barrels and nice spice and delicate aromas The nose is dominated by intense notes of ripe red berry fruit and complementary aromas of sweet spices and coffee.Ample and
balanced on the palate, the wine shows silky tannins along with a sweet and spicy finish and aftertaste. — 9 years ago

Sweet plum start, a spicy climax, and an earthy finish. Very complex set of flavors. Dare I say it could open up even more to allow each phase to last a tad longer. But overall, excellent wine! — 7 years ago
