2009 in June 2018. Wow, what a wine. Big earth and red fruit, very concentrated, let it breathe for an hour and it’s perfect. — 7 years ago
My first CLF. Aromatically, this wine is ready for business which surprised me given the Cru and vintage. Red cherries, Vosne spices, and a bit of wildness, but a tamed wildness. Guessed this as Vosne Romanee. Would love to see how this develops further. — 7 years ago
Light bodied, nose of red cherries and raspberries. Good minerality. Lingering, satisfying finish. An elegant, smooth pinot. — 8 years ago
This is a must try. Best to let open for at least an hour — 9 years ago

Bordeaux wine dinner; 6/18/15: Pichon Lalande 1990 - Lighter color than others, I think passing its prime. A little dry on the finish but perfectly nice still. Gruaud Larose 1989 - Very classic nose and palate of cedar and pine notes. Most silky palate of the bunch. Two at the table thought it was wine of the night. Not as much to my taste but very much classic Gruaud. Cos 1986 - Funky barnyard nose. Deep palate with still strong tannin, but plenty of fruit coming through. Liked it but there was some brett there that to me, hurt. Lynch Bages 1985 - For me, the wine of the night, largely due to the truly stunning nose. A tad dry on the palate but still long finish of dark fruit. — 10 years ago
2009! Fantastic now. Will be unstoppable when it lays down 10 years — 10 years ago
Excellent. Takes me back to France. — 12 years ago
Asian spices, sandalwood, dark cherries and raspberries. Hint of wild herbs. Becomes more floral and open with a few min, but still relatively restrained. Wine is balanced on the palate with smooth tannins and decent acidity for backbone. Lushly textured, rounder. Prefer the George Noellat over this one. — 7 years ago
Notes of honeysuckle ripe pear, pineapple, cinnamon and peach on the nose, with flavors of banana bread, praline and hazelnuts on the finish. Paired perfectly with grilled mussels. — 7 years ago
Wonderful. Deep color with raspberry notes. — 7 years ago
Was purchased at Berns. Had a wax cap which I believe kept it in great shape. Was stunning after 103 years. — 8 years ago
Tried côte à côte with the Gruaud Larose 375ml, this was a little one dimensional, primary fruit, showing more oak, think it needs another 5 years. — 9 years ago
Very enjoyable with lunch during En Primeur week at Gruaud Larose. Great lemon. — 9 years ago

Fantastic Bordeaux blend. My favorite Kiwi wine and truly a world class wine. The 2009 is nearing peak but has many years of enjoyment left — 11 years ago

Very nice floral and fruity bouquet. Not as dry as I would’ve hoped but enjoyed thoroughly and will buy again. — 7 years ago
Earthy and delightful — 7 years ago
Gorgeously delicious, light colored Cherry tart. Not bad drinking under harbor City lights — 8 years ago
Made by Cathy Corison. Reminds me of Gruaud Larose, and this is a great bottle! — 9 years ago

Another beautiful drinking 83 that is just a point or two below Montrose, Lynch Bages & Gruaud Larose that I had last month. — 6 years ago
