Brilliant Sancerre with a very light oak influence. Great minerality with chalk and flint happily supporting grapefruit, lemon, apple and a whiff of cut grass. Great depth, firm acidity and very expressive. A tremendous example of upscale Sauvignon blanc — 5 years ago
Worked great with pad Thai and a whole grilled fish. — 6 years ago
An excellent #sancere that is losing a little with time. Great acidity and aromatics though with med + complexity. #henribourgeois #loirevalley #sauvignonblanc #ctbucklinwine — 8 years ago

Smooth yet a hint of fruity tartness. Very enjoyable — 9 years ago
Notes of fresh stone fruits layered with wet stone and anjou pear. All diving into a racy palate of green apple skins with a perfectly balanced mineral finish. Boulay does not mess around with Sancerre. — 10 years ago
Powerful and rich. Serious sap. Framed by good acidity on a mineral spine. And this was a mild leaker. — 10 years ago
Richer fruit and a it candied compared to burgundy but a solid expression. More akin to boutique Oregon that its french counterparts. — 8 years ago
Stone fruit, citrus, grass, great mineralogy and acidity. Fantastic Sancerre. Cellar for a few more years. — 8 years ago
Very nice pear nose with a nice mineral taste. It pared excellently with halibut. — 9 years ago
Smashed smarties with a touch of jalapeño. So cool. — 10 years ago
Surprisingly light. It starts with a floral overlay - it's there then dissipates into a light finish and then gone. Any easy drink — 10 years ago
Enjoyed this with a braised pork. Made a nice pairing — 10 years ago
Expressions of stone fruit, delicate herbal notes (perhaps white flowers) and a slight hint of melon on the noise. Striking acidity, bright and mouth watering. Strong mineral backbone with a clean and refreshing lemon peel finish. Excellent. — 5 years ago
Loved. Perfect for a summer night at Street Food Cinema. — 8 years ago
I opened this on a Saturday and by Thursday it was really in its prime with an beautiful honeyed texture /aroma. Oxygen is really something eh? — 8 years ago
Thomas-Labaille, Les Monts Damnes, Chavignol, Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc. Tart Apple, minerality, a little used oak and lots of acidity. Compares well with Cotat's Monts Damnes bottling. This is a good value in a big Sauvignon Blanc. Good stuff. — 8 years ago
Juicy and succulent rose. Acidity toned down a little. Was a such a pleasure drinking it! — 9 years ago
Perennial favorite. French Pinot rose. Good fruit. Even better acidity. Strawberry and watermelon fruit with good acidity and a French like finish. Lord love a duck, lord love a good Rose. — 9 years ago
2008, Francois Cotat, Les Monts Damnes Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc. Brought this one back from France in 2011. Has aged well, no signs of oxidation and is still vibrant with lots of citrus. Screaming acidity, med alcohol and a long finish. Lots of grapefruit, lemon zest with a little orange blossom, white pepper and fresh cut grass. A little minerality on the finish. Need to find a 2011.

The best Sancerre in France, according to the sommelier at London's Le Vieux Comptoir. That remains to be confirmed, but it has a delicious balance between fruit and acid. Yum! — 10 years ago
