Aligoté doré from the village of Bouzeron (which boasts the best Aligoté in Burgundy and an AOC dedicated to this grape), by none other than Aubert de Villaine, legendary codirector of Domaine de la Romanée Conti. From old, low-yielding, organically farmed vines on the appellation’s highest slopes, vinified in foudres and aged for 10-12 months. Bright, elegant, complex and mineral. Dry but delicate. Apple. This is perhaps a little closed right now. Syrah-dominant with a fair bit of oak-treatment so will need a little while to blossom. Although it had the mellow character of an early-drinking wine, the winemaker told me that it needs 15 years to show its best. In fact, when I told him the 2006 I opened the other week seemed a little closed he told me to forget about it for another 10 years. Clearly one for the long-haul. — 7 years ago

Citrus, grapefruit, white flowers and notes of caramel; bright, round and balanced on the more citrusy dry palate finishing with a saline quality. Especially nice with mussels. Les Bêtes Curieuses. — 6 years ago

Unbelievable. Intense aromas and flavors, zero oak (I thin), very yellow but I love it!!

Thought this #sangiovese was awesome considering most imports are sent with oak in mind. It's high acid and racy because it needs more time. Exceptional #wine in my opinion. True to varietal and plenty of room to grow. Subtlety damp, high acid, high cherry with a focused level of robustness, cherry skin. — 5 years ago

Its not the Granit but still damn good. Truly a must have for any Perry enthusiasts collection. Impeccably refreshing by itself while also being a great addition with food. Bio-Dynamic too? Win, Win, Win. — 10 years ago
