Domaine Cauhapé

Noblesse du Temps Jurançon Petit Manseng 2010

Dessert wine from the southwest of France. A little lighter than Sauternes. Quite nice. A little tropical fruit, banana and pineapple. Dulce de leche. — 12 years ago

Fausse Piste

Garde Manger Columbia Valley Syrah 2014

Direct hit to the heart. Beaujolais spirited syrah that offers a super fruit nose composed at first of blueberrie sirup then blackberry with a violet hint after a few swirls. Non filtered with a hint of a gas when opened, no bretts; this suggests coherent and traditional wine making (+ high drinkability when successful). Clearly among the best wines I've tasted from Oregon. — 9 years ago

l'Empreinte du Terroir Corps de Garde Saint-Bris Sauvignon

Yes, Sauvignon Blanc in Burgundy! In fact, the St Bris appellation was previously called 'Sauvignon de Saint-Bris' (before 2003). And you can ONLY use SB or Sauv Gris fruit, + max 12.8% ABV. Love the terroir and plan to show it blind just to mess with my Sancerre obsessed friends. — 10 years ago
