Hittin' the vaults. One of my last bottles of this old favorite. Cork was super-funky TCA laced but the wine seems pretty with quince, apple, and truffle on the nose. Not quite bone dry but focused and fresh acidity. I love the combo of old nose and fresh palate in old Chenin. — 11 years ago
Корзина садовых яблок, мягкая груша, абрикос, лимонная цедра, мёд, подсохшая трава, воск, сырая шерсть, осенний ручей, битый камень. Полное, чуть маслянистое тело с хорошей кислотностью и аккуратной минеральной подложкой. Спело и монолитно, с кажущейся сладостью и ультратонким намеком на ботритис. 17/20 (92/100) Вино с красивым и сложным ароматом с нотами спелых яблок и груш, зеленого чая с жасмином и мёда. Заметный остаточный сахар и высокая кислотность. Насыщенное во вкусе с продолжительным яблочным послевкусием. Великолепно! — 6 years ago

A true delight and find from the Loire, but this wine had to open up. While full of black cherry notes, the wine was all in front and nothing left for the finish. Paired with dry aged beef with chimichurri. — 9 years ago

Deep gold. Abundant nose of dried apples and golden raisins. Sturdy full-bodied palate echoes the nose with a hint of yellow flowers. Strikingly firm acidity from entry to finish. Has clearly held up well over the decades, and is showing graciously now. A tasty treat in its own, but really shines paired with tarte tatin. — 5 years ago
