Glad I've been buying from this Pasos Robles winery for about 10 years now. A Big Boy at 15.6 ABV, decanted 2 hours ahead. Pleasantly not an alcohol bomb. Fantastic nose. Dark dried cherry, dirt, licorice, iron. Very chewy.
80% Paderewski vineyard.
58% Syrah, 18% Mourvedre, 14% Grenache, 10% Petite Sirah. Imaginative blend!
Not my favorite of theirs, but never disappointed. 9.2 — 9 years ago
First Rosé of the season in Seattle, clocking in with sunshine and 58 degrees 😃. Pretty dark on the eye: rose gold, almost burnt orange. Nose sees minerality, some bright red strawberries and raspberries, red and white flowers abound. Palette sees a healthy does of acid (medium), lots of minerality, more bright red fruits, with long finish that moves slowly across your palette. — 9 years ago
Cuvée de la Pompadour is 58% Pinot Noir and 42% Chardonnay, named for Madame de la Pompadour, Louis XV's great paramour, and she introduced sparkling wine to the court at Versailles, famous for having said, "Champagne is the only wine that a woman can drink and remain beautiful." Salmon color with aromas of red fruits and spices. On the palate fresh strawberry and raspberry flavors with cinnamon spice and toasty oak. Well balanced with acidity the wine finishes with citrus and honey notes on a long ending. — 10 years ago
Probably the best 'stout' I have ever had!! Aged 2 years at 58 degrees. — 11 years ago
1958 Giacomo Conterno Monfortino: from Jay. This was the Ying to the Mascarello's Yang. Lovely rich ruby colour with virtually no bricking on the edge. The nose developed over the course of 15 to 20 mins in the glass. Unlike the Mascarello that was shedding perfume from the moment it hit the glass, the Monfortino needed more air before becoming less brooding. Dark fruits on the nose. Purple plums, black cherries, some forest floor, light tobacco as well as some floral elements prevailed. The palette was a reflection of the nose so no surprises. The fruit was far from dried out and this particular bottle still had plenty of life left in it but from my recent experience this is the exception rather than the rule. I have had around 10 bottles of old Monfortino ('55 / '58 / and '61) over the last year and the bottle variation, as you would expect, is tremendous with the majority of them past their prime. The finish was strong and in keeping with the rest of the package with reasonable length and quality. Drink now. 95/100.

Very solid Syrah. Had it first at Sushi Ran. Easy to buy from the vineyard and worth it. — 12 years ago
Chris's 58 Degree suggestion. Enjoyed by Jeremy, Pam and Marti. Leathery, earthy, smells like coffee. Fairly tannic. — 12 years ago
DeLille produces classic styles of Bordeaux, Rhone & Provence wines in the state of Washington. A blend of 58% Merlot, 36% Cab Sauv, 5% Cab Franc & 1% Petit Verdot. Dark Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits with toasty sweet spice notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry with cacao and subtle oak. Soft tannins, vivid acidity, lingering ending with a nice punch of fruit on the finish. — 8 years ago
First red wine after the four Sauvignon Blancs, this bottling use to be called the Marlbrook until the first vintage in 2011 under the Estate name. Deep ruby red with dark red berries on the nose, some spices, woody elements and a touch savory. Medium tannins (6.5/10) with a medium to medium plus body. Notes of black currants, twigs and earth. Medium plus to long finish. Drink till 2024.
Made up of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Shiraz, 14% Petit Verdot and 9% Malbec. Aged for 12 months in 50% new French oak. — 8 years ago
58% CS, 33% M, 6% PV, 3% CF
Slightly bricked garnet red, compact rim, more red than purple.
Pretty bouquet - red cherry, dried herbal aromas, leather, tobacco, mineral.
The palate is harmonious. Integrated tannin, med plus acidity, dry, medium bodied. Showing a lot of red fruit character, animalistic, floral. Very classic Margaux-esque character.
This wine is at the perfect drinking spot. No need at all to wait. After a solid month of full bodied, extracted Napa Cab, this is a welcome reprieve! 90. — 9 years ago
Recommend you let this one chill to 58 or 60 then let breathe. It's a completely different wine at 60 deg then rt. Menthol bite with a splash of blackberry chocolate. 😊 — 10 years ago
A blend of 58% Chardonnay, 42% Pinot Noir, pale yellow with crisp aromas of stone fruits with a touch of floral scents. On the palate pear and apple flavors, some citrus nuances with fine bubbles and light mousse. The finish has a creamy texture, well structured, ending with toasty notes and yeasty tang that lingers. This 2011 has good aging potential. I still have some 2007 in my cellar that is tasting great now. — 10 years ago
New Years Eve 2015 Pinot Recommendation by Naomi @ 58 Degrees. Very nice. European taste profile with structure. — 10 years ago
From taste: lovely piercing orange liqueur and wildflower aroma, cardamom and cinnamon, intoxicating, clear and beautiful nose. Chalky minerality on palate, fine grained, grippy tannins, great harmony and spicy orange deliciousness. Shows well the softer side of this exuberant vineyard, and of barolo, and exudes excellent balance with a combination of sweet cherry fruit, sophisticated tannin, and zesty acids. Could use more mid-palate punch, but nevertheless a buy and a keeper for 8-12 years. $58. — 11 years ago
Had in Carmel with Jette...white Rhone blend - 58% Vigonier and 42% Marsanne...full, oaky, creamy, vanilla, reminds me of a root beer float? — 12 years ago
Vanilla, cherry, raspberry and plum notes. Moderate smooth finish. Light tannins. — 13 years ago
Delicious, round and mild oaky Italian White. Drank at Franceschetta 58 in Modena — 8 years ago
58 Syrah/28 Grenache/14 Viognier. Girls have decided on margaritas for the game so I rummaged around and found this. A restrained nose for how it hits the palate. Dark berries and spice with a zing of acidity - thanks to the Viognier? Another good one from LB. Go Vikes! — 8 years ago
Easy drinking and great value for a Rhône blend from Central Coast. It’s still a good wine but somehow I don’t enjoy it as much as their 2014 vintage. UPDATE: I left it overnight and it improved significantly. Notes of rye whiskey and grass developed. I also enjoyed it more at a bit lower temperature (58-60F). — 9 years ago
58% Merlot, 32% Cab Franc, 10% Cab Sauvignon. 👍 — 10 years ago
Ok so I'll let all my peeps on a secret. This is my favorite wine. Has what I like. Blackberries, full alcohol, tannins are sharp but right,.fruit forward. So today it's my birfday. I'm going to party like it's my birfday. 58. Gees. Where do the days go by ? — 10 years ago

We wanted a nice wine to go with the lobster and steak, so my usual favorites were out! We chose a Petit Sirah, apparently $29 on the outside so I have no problem with the $58 restaurant price. Smooth, nice finish, full flavor but in no way overpowering which makes it okay for the seafood. I selected well! — 10 years ago
Didn't realize this cost $58! — 11 years ago
2012 GSM (58% Syrah, 26% Grenache, and 16% Mourvèdre) flavors of blackberry, raspberry rocky minerals and hints of smoky meat and spice. — 11 years ago
1997 took 15 mins to open needed decanting. But then really nice $58 retail — 11 years ago

"Odedi"
Deep ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Fruity nose with blueberries, raspberries, sweet cherries, earth, vanilla, wood, licorice, vegetables, pencil lead, wet leaves, black tea, dark coffee, tobacco leaf, spices and peppercorn.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with black currants, black plums, oak, vanilla, licorice, herbs, vegetables, spices, peppercorn, tobacco, dark chocolates, beef jerky, earth and cola.
Medium plus in finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.
This is a very enjoyable Rhone blend from Russian River Valley in California. Spicy and fruity with lots of earth notes that makes it interesting.
Nicely balanced with nice complexity and a great mouthfeel. Feels like a blend of Old and New World wine, which is always engaging and pleasant to drink.
Drinking very nicely now, as a five-year-old, and will age nicely in the next 5 years. I really enjoyed the tangy ending.
Good by itself or with food, and needs an hour to open up properly.
After 2 hours of airtime, the nose really opened up and it was so nice to smell on it for a while.
A blend of 58% Grenache 22% Mourvedre, 18% Syrah and 2% Petite Sirah. A small production of only 315 cases produced.
I paired it with Brie cheese and roasted almonds.
14.6% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
