Great great nose of red apples.... palate very smoth with a play between lemon and apples... fine perlage with a long yeasty end — 7 years ago
Very drinkable now. This wine should please the American taste as a fruit forward and pleasant but excellent for the price. A great affordable wine to order while dinning out. — 7 years ago

“Journaux” is a Burgundian term, a unit of measurement signifying how much vineyard land a single man can plow with his horse in one day. The Azana vineyard, located in the Chehalem Mountains, sits at around 950' above sea level and is overlaid in volcanic Jory-type soil, as such, it's four or Quatre Journaux...and the Pinot Noir derived from it is nothing short of voluptuous. It's mushroom and moss, bark dust, cherry skins, plum and black tea. A lovely, woodsy configuration finely framed in ripe, fine tannins. Sample — 9 years ago

YUM. This is exactly what I want in my Gamay - barely effervescent, a little funk and super juicy. #shouldhavebought2 — 7 years ago
Interesting skin contact wine of all the burgundian varietals. Makes on think that this is what they have been like generations ago — 9 years ago

Decent amount of funk on opening, which blew off after an hour. Bright fruit, mild tannins and a blast of herbs. Everything I want from a Cab Franc. — 7 years ago
