Vintage 2013 - Tasted and retasted after 48 hours aeration. Both times very good but with air much more smell, hints of honey, flowers. Very high acidity, razorsharp #cheninblanc #savennieres that has much potential for aging. Château Soucherie has a few nice guestrooms. 1994 Artadi Grandes Anadas Reserva Tempranillo. Dinner at Tap during staycation. K couldn't remember where or how he had gotten this, but thought it was worth a try. Drank after the '08 Flowers PN and what a contrast. This wine was big, chewy and funky- not barnyard, but earth, mushrooms, musty moss. A predictably loved this wine. We really enjoyed it and thought that it drank great, but could hold a while longer. — 9 years ago

Being a huge PYCM fan that I am, this was the first "meh" bottle I've had. It was still Pierre-Yves with mouth-watering acidity, summer fruit aromas and all that — just a bit too toasty to my taste, a bit too much of pronounced oak. It lacked that masculine elegance that I'm after in PYCM wine, but still was delicious and lovely. — 9 years ago
