In an attempt to "hang" with my wine distributor friend tonight, I ventured out of my comfort zone with this syrah grenache blend and was pleasantly surprised. RP-kissed this one for a reason - big and bold - aromatic - a very good value drinkable. Paired nicely with my salmon and spinach salad. 1990 vintage. Quite exceptional, considering its age. Poached pears, burnt orange peel, over ripe nectarine, bruleed quince, over- steeped green tea, green almond, orange blossom water. Definitely very mature, but still has a great zing of acid and a very long finish. — 9 years ago
