Despite being ‚just‘ a Bourgogne this is excellent although at 43$ not cheap for a Bourgogne. No formal notes but trust me this is excellent. It’s a 1er Cru level wine at a very reasonable price point. Grapes are from Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. Whole cluster pressed. So the wine is complex. Great texture! — 4 months ago
Typical. Refreshing — 7 months ago
Always a classic. Still a (relative) value. Balance, structure, texture, tension, integration and length. Just great winemaking. Benchmark Chard. — 8 months ago
Grand Finale bottle with Madi in NYC. Had high hopes for throttle given the vintage but didn’t really have the fruit for it to hold up. Searing acid and nuclear reduction which I love but just savory notes. — 8 months ago
Very well balanced with good body and bouquet. — 7 years ago
Wonderful brick colour, molasses, cassis, leather, cedar — 8 years ago
Reddish black cherry color. Slightly translucent. Doesn't show its age in the glass. Nose of warm fruit with kirsch, with some secondary dirt and spice notes. In the mouth there wonderful rich coating of ripe black cherry, some wood, and still active tannin. Well balanced. Lasting finish. Great showing. Still on the upswing of its potential. — 8 years ago
Pale color. Lemon zest nose. Meyer lemon, lemon cream, and dusty minerality. This is a good wine. — 6 years ago
YES to Jay's comment. This is indeed a truly lovely wine. Beautiful. Remarkable. Memorable. — 7 years ago
Give this one a little time. But it may be THE (or one of certainly) benchmark wines for the appellation. — 9 years ago
Amazing white burgundy. Pure fruit with a touch if funk. Great acidity and length. Yum! — 10 years ago
Light lime and chalk. Sweet edges. Lovely soft fruit and zesty long finish. Delicious. — 4 months ago
Ripe dark berries, smoke, tobacco. Full-bodied, amazingly rich and warm. — 6 months ago
A new fave! Delicious wine for a great price. Light funk on the nose, but bright mélange of apple and peach. Lafon négociant label. Great recommendation for chard haters. — 8 months ago
Amazing. It's fruity, but I've felt only a sweet, ripe plum. But the best is the rest: spicy aromas with leather and smoke like from smokehouse. I simply love it! — 5 years ago
