Grippy tight and tannic at opening but softened into juicy plum and cranberry with graphite and soft tannins. Lovely. Drink now if you have any of the 96 left. — 6 months ago

Super floral, super delicious. Serve chilled. — 10 years ago
Took a couple days for this wine to open up and to really start strutting its stuff. Vibrant, primary, dark cherry fruit tones meet pine forest, spice, and licorice nuances. With the extended aeration, an intriguing mineral note also developed. Svelte (12.8%), yet vivacious and intimating appealing future complexities. Would be fun try again in 8+ years. — 11 years ago
needs ten more years. still tight - going to be amazing with the blackberry mellowing — 5 months ago

In an attempt to "hang" with my wine distributor friend tonight, I ventured out of my comfort zone with this syrah grenache blend and was pleasantly surprised. RP-kissed this one for a reason - big and bold - aromatic - a very good value drinkable. Paired nicely with my salmon and spinach salad. By day, I seek value in the bond market to pass along to my customers, so this got me thinking: what is/are the best value wine(s) you're drinking right now?? #sharethelove — 10 years ago

Zeer lekkere wijn, mooie afdronk, niet bombastisch of explosief.

Dark cherries and cloves prevail on the nose, then you start to dig in into a very layered nose. Complex and broad spectrum.
On the mouth it is supple and creamy, mid palate is beautiful and rich. The closing is somewhat lifting and refreshing with rose and strawberry flavors overcoming the pleasant bitterness.
An excellent wine for the vintage.
It won’t be immediate. Bit it’ll be a nice surprise in the years to come.

Balanced red blend. — 7 months ago
Quite bright medium ruby , ruby pink rim . Quite elegant and reserved , some red cherry, violet , summer fruits , scorched earth , touch of spice . On the palate quite elegant also , summer fruits, blackberry , blackcurrant , red plum . Good balanced acidity , herbal touches on the medium length , saline tinged finish . Quite polished but still grippy tannins . This is showing well , especially with food , but has a relatively long future , from now and over the next 5-10 years. A very successful second wine . — 9 months ago

1990: This bottle given to me by Gaston Huet when I visited him in 1996, so no importation or pregnancy warning stickers to obscure the contents. Amber color revealing the level of botrytis in this vintage, since the wine was absolutely fresh. Creme bruleé nose. Silky mouthfeel, with explosions of fruit, ranging from baked apples, hints of vanilla, quince jelly and raisins. Long, long pleasing finish which is a fitting tribute to one of the true heroes of winemaking. Sublime. — 10 years ago
Drinking very well- still youthful. Gravel, rocks, cedar, pencil lead, soft. — 11 years ago
