Сочная клюква, брусника, сладость малины, кислотность малины и белой смородины. Очень собранное. Почти гениально. Пил бы и пил. — 6 years ago

This really overdelivers for <$90 on the list at Marta. Very soft and pleasant mousse. Shimmering golden hue. Pretty red fruit. — 6 years ago
Deep red with ruby highlights, but Guillaume d'Angerville noted that this premier cru is typically softly extracted and light in color. Compelling, vibrant aromas of blueberry pastille, violet, licorice and spicecake. Incredibly primary and sweet, with its density leavened by harmonious acidity. Pliant dark berry flavors are complicated by hints of flowers and spices. This very pure wine has to be one of the most youthful 1999s I tasted this winter. Finishes with utterly suave tannins and outstanding length. This infant is just beginning to open and should enjoy a long plateau of maturity. D'Angerville described 1999 as "a magical vintage," noting that the yield here was at least 40 hectoliters per hectare. His father Jacques actually held back 4,000 bottles of wine in '99 but Guillaume has released most of these bottles by now to loyal clients of the domain. The 2012 Les Carmes Haut-Brion was the first vintage with whole bunches (40%) and 18 months in barrel. It was the introductory vintage under current winemaker Guillaume Pouthier. This is much more enticing on the nose after the 2011: well-defined black cherries, cola, peppermint, light rose petal scents and a hint of marmalade that emerges with time. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, more freshness and tension than the 2011, and frankly, you would never be able to tell there was whole bunch here. This appears to be maturing with style and panache, but it will give another decade or more of drinking pleasure. Tasted at the Les Carmes Haut-Brion vertical at the château. 100% Sémillon from Bergerac, of ‘Cyrano de’ fame. Very fresh Loire-style rendition. Medium-bodied with pecan, bread, apple with nice acid. Grapes are organic - hand-picked and pressed into stainless steel on the lees . Unfined, unfiltered and no added sulfur. 12% abv. I did not see a vintage but I believe this is a 2018. — 4 years ago

LOVE. Loire might be my favourite French region.
Some green pepper on the nose. Dangerously drinkable. Food friendly. Went well with spiced ground beef and rice, but this red would be a good companion for red or white meat, Indian dishes, or on its own. — 5 years ago

Buttermilk & underripe mandarin on the nose with buttermilk again on the palette and riper mandarin juice, creamy but zingy at the end
