Wow. This is incredible. The nose is phenomenal with soft red fruit, barnyardy crap (in a good way, I’m serious), and a sweet herbaciousness that is out of this world.. it reminds me of my favorite cocktail, The Last Word, where the green chartreuse sticks out. Bruised red apple, wilted/rotting acacia petals, peach nectar, tangerine peel, limestone, herbal notes of chartreuse, cumin, and spearmint, plus a touch of "wet wool"--but fairly clean . Full, herbal, ripe and oaky on the nose, obviously still young but more than ready to play. Odors of licorice and Fernet or Chartreuse come through. Thank goodness this has been open since yesterday, it almost certainly needed it.
