Excellent entry level white burg. Balanced nose of green apple and light fruit with a touch of sea salt. Great lingering honeyed fruits and melon on the tongue. I’d love to try some 1er/grand cru from Paul pernot — 5 years ago
80% Chardonnay with a splash of Pinot Noir, zero added sulphur. Ripe yellow fruit over toast. Perfect — 8 years ago
A bit too raisin-y at first but after a couple hours of decanting quite nice. Deep and mouth filling with a ton of ripe fruit and good acid and tannins to round it out. — 10 years ago
Clean, precise, notes of toffee/butterscotch, a little more dense but minerally, great showing — 10 years ago
Benefited from a 90 minute decant. Lots of acidity but good dark fruit, soft tannins and minerality — 4 years ago
My COVID19 f.... the virus 🦠 mid week treat. Textbook. Anise first - tannins mostly resolved. A great wine no rusticity. Dried Raspberry mushrooms chanterelles - actually. A beautiful wine. After this drama is over I will have to stock up. It’s nice to drink alone but I am also sad I can not share some of these beauties. — 5 years ago
A great light red to drink after cleaning out closets on Labor Day Weekend! Found it in an Italian grocery in Annapolis. Paired well with hatch chile mac n cheese! — 7 years ago
Crisp and clean with a lovely medium pink color. Perfect for ringing in 2017 — 8 years ago
Lovely Pinot from a warm year. Rich with a long finish. — 10 years ago
This was a monster out of the gate and held its own. Really impressed. Shows age but not softness. Elegant, open, beeswaxy, beautiful — 10 years ago
Probably past its prime drinking window, the brick red '94 Pierre Usseglio & Fils Châteauneuf-du-Pape is still a muscular, rustic Rhone with aromas of smoke, cedar, leather and underbrush. Faded plum flavors are still detectable. The long finish ends with herbes de Provence notes. — 12 years ago
Nice acidity with some width to it and a little bit of richness, a delicious finish on pears mostly. Good bottle but lacks the zip of the best Perrières.
Beau vin sans être dans la même classe que les meilleurs Perrières, belle acidité et une bouche assez ample avec un peu de richesse, belle finale sur les poires. 90-91 — 4 years ago
Disgorged 2019 - youthful power, rose gold hue, very substantial but then a lingering zest. Gift that keeps on giving. — 5 years ago
Fresh, more of a morning champagne — 6 years ago
Wow. So this young fresh fruity CDP settled in nicely about 30 minutes I. And drank nicely over a couple of hours. At great value on the list. — 6 years ago
Relatively light with nice dark berries and a hint of strawberries — 7 years ago
Always a fav — 7 years ago
Not a bad Beaune in its body. — 10 years ago
I did not get to taste this but my brother and meadows got to. This is part of a series of wines i have had the honor of drinking and were shared with my family, they have ended up on the mantle piece. Many more are missing but i wanted to create an archive... This is not being posted to make anyone jealous. I'm just part of a wine family and of course many friends share some precious gems with us. — 11 years ago
