One of the memorable wines in our obscure whites tasting last night. Just off dry and a saline minerality. — 11 years ago
Love Etna reds! Outis always delivers. — 12 years ago
Delicious! — 13 years ago

This guy is like the Jacky Truchot of Alto Piemonte. Light color, yet amazing finesse and delicacy along with a brilliant texture. Gorgeous nose. Cherries, spice, sawdust, Rainer cherries as well, some lurid feral aromas as well. So complex, delicate and detailed. Palate is beautifully fruited with lovely elegant tannin and gorgeous bright cherries rule the day. Dusty elegant tannin and sappy fruit finish it off. Needs maybe 1 hour to turn into the lace monster it becomes. — 8 years ago
Cherry in front, dry & lingering, chewy. I like it & it was one of the least expensive of this grape, but still a bit much for me. — 9 years ago
— 9 years ago
Nice medium body, with earthy tones and great tannic structure. Love what some oak imparts on Etna Rosso wines. — 10 years ago
Well balanced wine, perfume in the nose, awakening acidity, elegant finish — 10 years ago

New Calabrian producer! Very Nebbiolo like. Great dusty tannin on finish. Impressive for Southern Italy. — 11 years ago

prune. cherries. forest. nice acid. low tannins. from a small micro-producer. from flatiron wines. buy again, if you can find it. — 8 years ago
Interesting and well made. Carricante plus an (integrated) oak treatment. Savory and iodine notes on the nose. Fleshy, melon and pear. Great texture. Held up great to lamb sous vide with lemon confit. A bit heavy handed but delicious. — 8 years ago
2013 vintage. First time ever that I taste this wine. Wine was closed and showed little. High upfront minerality and pleasant acidity. Dropped a considerable amount of tannins. Backward fruit and quite a good burn. Need to get a vertical on this. — 9 years ago
Very drinkable. I spent a considerable time in Calabria near where this wine is produced. It is very typical for the region, soft but very flavorful. — 9 years ago
Light body and very "Pinot Noir" like. Bright red cherry and strawberry flavors. Mild tannins and light oak. Hint of smoke. Refreshing. Chill it a bit below cellar temp. Great story about the winery. A Mt. Etna lava flow just went around them 30 years ago. — 9 years ago
Bing Cherry, cinnamon , Carmel , some banana peel ...very nice — 10 years ago
Wow. Takes me back to my Italian days. Such a combination of flavor and drinkability. Rich yet light. Blackberry and citrus peel. Tingle on the tongue. Would pair with anything from the grill or brick oven pizza. — 10 years ago
