#AgedWineTuesday
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish/ brick rim.
Beautiful nose of black fruits, cedar, chocolates, herbs, tobacco leaf and cola.
Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, mint, vanilla, spices, licorice, espresso, cola, light herbs, eucalyptus, light earth, tobacco leaf, dark chocolates and peppercorn.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 20 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley is drinking beautifully now. Showing a gorgeous nose, that I kept on smelling for a while.
Feels much younger than it actually is, complex and well balanced.
Good right out of the bottle with grippy tannins, and better after a couple of hours in the decanter.
Peaking now and good by itself or with food. Will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 years.
A gorgeous wine. I love these older Napa Bordeaux blends.
A blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc. Aged in new American oak barrels for 22 months. Unfiltered and unfined.
13.8% alcohol by volume.
94 points.

Lots of forward fruit, red currant and blackberry. Subtle mid palate. Just a nip of tannins on the finish. Overall smooth and easy drinking. — 4 years ago
Delicious and hedonistic. Rich textures and dark fruit. Some leathery like aromas with hints of herbs — 9 years ago
Big and robust. Was chewing on this one. Nice spiciness and heavy tannin. Intense — 9 years ago
Very creamy - had at Barbuto — 10 years ago
Great bottle from @MFV_Wine. Brings back the memories of Tucker and family on Katie's 21st! — 11 years ago
Initially gripping tannins, after two hours of decanting, it drastically changed and softened to allow fruit to come through. Nose: cigar, dark dried cocoa powder, espresso, blackberry black currant, prunes, leather, complex flavors; this wine is excellent. — 5 months ago
Charles Hendricks last vintage at Regusci and what a vintage 2013 was in Napa. If you’re are going to go out on a high note, 13 would be it. The most underrated Winemaker in Napa Valley.
Dark, ruby, lush, currents, raspberries, plum skin, strawberries, dark chocolate, lots of salted caramel notes, mid spice, tarriness, black licorice, soft dark earth with dry top soil, dry tobacco, used leather, vanillin, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, withering dark floral, lavender framed in violets, excellent acidity and great structure, tension, balance and perfectly polished for days. — 6 months ago
Popped and poured. Deep ruby color with moderate staining of the tears. Developing, with a fairly becoming nose with ripe black plums, dark bramble fruit, vanilla, some pipe tobacco, some chocolate and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium(+?) acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. It’s really primary now but it should drink better after 2025 and through 2034. — 7 months ago
Really good but drink around now. Stewed fruits but still fresh. Not a Bordeaux style but a bit larger with elegant and a bit of power. Glad I could share this with my folks. Fruits are rhubarb now after about an hour. Leaning down a little but still good. Definitely open the bottle of you have it soon imo — 8 months ago
Extremely Nice… in all aspects — 2 years ago
Lovely Merlot. Will gladly drink again. — 4 years ago
Deep ruby/purple. Chocolate, spice, tobacco, dried fruit, plum, and minerality on the nose. Smooth finish with silky tannins. Fantastic and a true reflection of #stagsleap, #napa, #baldacciwinery — 10 years ago
Whenever I'm looking for my California Cabernet fruit basket. Love this stuff. — 10 years ago
A delicious Cabernet off of Spring Mountain. Dense cherry and sweet vanilla are framed in French Oak with a supple lingering finish. You won't find this on at Binney's. — 12 years ago
Still a bit tanniny that may need decanting, depending on how you want to enjoy it. — 5 months ago
1.5 hour decant(decent chunky sediment). A majestic deep purplish magenta color with a little bricking. Always have a soft spot for aged Cain Five and Chris's old school savory style(embrace a little brett!). On the nose: stunning nose of worn leather, funky wet earth, red fruit, touch of menthol, nutty. Taste: Restrained, silky, elegant, balanced wine with dusty earth, herbaceous, currants, plum, cedarwood, and peppery dark chocolate medium finish. YUM! Hitting its stride with time to go. — 7 months ago
Well balanced cab. No parts too much or little. Firm tannins, some fruit — 8 months ago
Darkest ruby red color. Full of black currants, black berries, dark red cherries and plums. Hints of chocolate and burned wood. — 4 years ago
Quite dark colored. Young nose with fruits, spices, fresh grass and strength can be felt. On the palate it’s balanced between the fruit flavors and the oak well integrated by the way, long finish and no heaviness. Excellent (91) — 9 years ago
Typical German Reisling petrol nose with light fruit and pleasant minerality — 9 years ago
Woohoo!!! Super velvet...best cab I've had in a long time for $30. Smooth throughout would highly recommend. — 10 years ago
