Celebration with best friends. This is an excellent plavac mali, rich snd complex, with polished soft but plentiful tannins and decent acidity. Black fruits, prunes, some floral aromas and spices as well. — 6 years ago
Warm, strong and full of berryjam taste. Just as I remember it from a wine-tasting a couple of years ago in Dubrovnik. Also a significant aging. — 8 years ago
Plavac Mali, reportedly the Croatian equivalent of zinfandel... nonetheless, easy-drinking and earthy and downright lovely. — 8 years ago
Full bodied and amazing! — 9 years ago
Vintage 2015. Great wine. Drinking with my daughter in Split, Croatia. — 6 years ago
full bodied wine. High in alcohol, but you don’t necessarily taste it. It is well balanced. — 7 years ago
Inky Dingac; tannins, berries, earthy. Balanced and good long finish. — 7 years ago
A wonderful representation of Plavac Mali, a close relative of Zinfandel in the States and Primitivo of Italy. Very austere for a 2012 but complex with dusty, forest floor notes and stewed black fruit. Wonderful with the homemade pasta that is only made here on the island of Korčula. — 8 years ago

Really really good wine from Croatia. Nice dark opaque red wine. Minimal purple. Orangey faded red rim. Notes of cherry and raspberry. Lots of baking spice and vanilla. Pepper. Good legs. Medium tannins with good grip. Woodsy taste. Very good wine! Paired with fish trio (monkfish, swordfish, sea bass). Wasn't the best combination as there were medium to medium strong tannins, but this was my fault as I elected both unprompted. This wine would have been an excellent steak wine. Really robust flavors and tannins would balance the richness meatiness of a good steak or even lamb. @2Ribara restaurant in Zadar Croatia — 9 years ago
First time trying plavac Mali. Suggestion from server at Croatian restaurant. Nicely balanced wine. Paired will with smoky meat meal. Cooked down berry and non peppercorn spice. More on the earth side than fruit side for palette. Super clean finish. Fun to drink — 6 years ago
Takes me back to Croatia. Terroir. Dry, sea, mineral. Love. Buy again. Stanley’s Wet Goods. — 7 years ago
Inky tint, aroma of goat cheese, rich and complex. Smooth finish, dark berry, earthy but not mushroom. Ends with watermelon jolly rancher. — 8 years ago
Pleasantly different wine for me. Rose petal nose, dark sweet plum and black cherry flavor. Age smoothed the tannins a lot, but the acid and profile is good.
Paired for dinner of Greek blood orange and tomato chicken. Like I'm in the Adriatic now! — 8 years ago
Croatia might not be the first thing that comes up when you think about good wine, but it's definitely more than capable of producing great wines. Plavac Mali is closely related to Primitivo planted right across the Adriatic sea. Medium bodied with massive tannins even after 5 years in the bottle. Watermelon, dark fruits, herbs, and spices. Looks like it has a great ageing potential. — 8 years ago
@Chris Grimm try this one if you ever see it - I love it — 9 years ago
