Much too young, but that was the intention of the night....Though totally different terrior and taste, it in spirit reminded me of the '09 Marcassin I had a while ago. I think these two wines, more than any other, had the most delineated and distinct phases in the glass. At a point the Rbourg tasted of blood & iron. At another menthol and wood. Then the menthol started to die down to reveal brett. And then it went to a more stem focus... All the way to a forest floor characteristic. Marcassin is the only other wine I have had make such distince stark changes sip to sip. — 11 years ago
