Think it’s a little young?? Idk, very good. Think it could enrich in time. Coal, oak, smoky, but a little too red fruity on after taste. However after a glass that acidity is very nice. Maybe it just needed to open up. — 6 months ago

Deep Italian red, very sweet and perfect with some red sauce pasta — 5 years ago
Slightly drier, lighter from the 2014 vintage if I recall correctly. Some dried pepper and dried cranberries notes on the nose. — 6 years ago
Such an intense inviting nose and sexy opulent palate. I’ve been on a roll lately with excellent Sangiovese based wines (this is 100%), but this ranks high across the board, and still not close to fully mature. Herbs and spices, leather, ripe rich red fruits, silky tannins, buoyant acidity. Nothing NOT to like here, especially when paired with a pork osso bucco. — 7 years ago
So tasty!!!! Boldly aromatic with lots of fruit like cherry, plum, loads or chocolate and tobacco. Full bodied with strong tannins balanced by a cleansing fruity acidity. Love this wine but getting to taste an older vintage is special. — 4 months ago
Blew me away, perfectly balanced with notes of dark fruit, underlying tones of some floral notes. — 6 months ago
Perfect with our steak — 9 months ago
Cranberries and cherries on the nose. Savory, elegant and mid weight. Delicious. Nerello Mascalese 85% and Nerello Cappuccino 15% field blend 100 years old. Planted at 1640 feet on the volcanic soils of Mount Etna. — 2 years ago

Christmas Day wine 🎄🎅🏼🍷
Acquired this for two reasons: Flora Springs was my “a-ha” wine 10yrs ago which started my wine journey, and secondly because it’s my sister-in-law’s birth year.
Enjoyed on Christmas Day (with said sister-in-law) and family (the family who introduced me to wine + Flora Springs). Kept the bottle standing for a few days. In the glass, there was bricking but the color was much more vibrant than expected. Aromatically, it showed mushroom and fig, but a good bit of muddled red and black berry fruit, some mint as well. Alive, elegant and bright on the palate with good tannin structure (held strong the two hours it was open). Small hint of tobacco at the finish, but the berry fruit stayed persistent keeping the flavors balanced. Undeniably older Napa (13%) and in great shape. — 4 months ago
