I really love Tawny Port and was quite surprised as to how good this Aussie version is. An NV, but the average age of the blend is 21 years. Soft on the pallet and not too sweet. You know this is a fortified wine, but the alcohol is not overpowering. Plum, fig and raisin flavors. A “Sherry-like” nuttiness. Really terrific! Thank you, Mark Smith. Revisited in May 2020. Still fantastic! An after dinner wine to share! Revisited again in June 2022. Still fantastic. — 8 years ago

Wow! Fab for the money. £12 tastes like £30. Almost like a classy reserve Rioja; Smooth, very well balanced, juicy & fruity with great acidity and structure. Mouth watering with cherry, leather and tobacco on the nose. Best PV I’ve had in a fair while... — 7 years ago
Very dark garnet robe. Tobacco and sherry notes with hints of wood. Taste of plumbs and cherries with prominent tannins. Medium finish of sherry. — 8 years ago

One of best red wines I've had. — 9 years ago
Very much like a great sherry. The color is amber much like an older Sauterne. I got dried oranges and toffee. On the hunt for more bottles. — 9 years ago
