My last bottle of Cirq. I think the quality is extremely high, but the evolution and secondary market is hard to justify when similar priced wines (ex: Marcassin) are in a different realm.
This straddles bright and moderately lean Sonoma coast Pinot with ripe OR style pinot. When compared to Michael Browne’s Kosta Browne wines, its got a more elegant profile while retaining the rich fruit. Plenty of ripe cherry, black cherry, potpourri, and sandalwood aromatics. The palate here retains a lot of freshness to go along with the spiced rhubarb, black pepper, and maple drizzled black cherries. Acidity is very vibrant and keeps this wine afloat.
Pretty? Yes. Do I see this getting better? Not necessarily, just different. — 4 years ago

Nice light and very drinkable — 6 years ago
Really nice mouth feel and flavor. Didn’t have food to have with it but I’d bet it would be fabulous with steak or lamb. $33 on sale for $29 - had at hone tasting — 8 years ago
A few of you suggested that I do a Cabernet Franc Wednesday, so I decided to try it for a few weeks, and I'm going to start with a bang...
Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.
Great nose of blueberries, blackberries, earth, sweet plums, cherries, vanilla, leather, cedar, chocolates, cola, mocha, espresso, leather, peppercorn and spices.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, raisins, vanilla, oak, licorice, spices, chocolates, smoke, peppermint, coffee, beef jerky, earth, cola, peppercorn, leather, tobacco and light vegetables.
Long finish with firm tannins and tangy raspberries.
What a great surprise. This Washington Cabernet Franc is well balanced, complex and interesting with lots of chocolate notes. Not much of the bell pepper notes, that I expected.
Showing a gentle mouthfeel with a nice ending. Delicious!
Wine Enthusiasts 87 Points.
A blend of 90% Cabernet Franc and 10% Merlot. Aged for 23 months in Oak barrels.
14.7% alcohol by volume.

Amazing! We love it!!!! — 9 years ago
Probably my fav Pinot this year. Heaps do cranberries, light and with an amazing smell — 10 years ago
Perfect with lamb — 11 years ago
Terrific at the open, silky smooth texture and very round and balanced with a nice long finish. Kosta Brown's elegant touch shows in the structure of this big subtly jammy syrah. Too bad there's probably no '04's available but I'm loving this wine. — 11 years ago

Tony Cartlidge & Glen Browne began their wine venture in 1980 to build a winery from scratch. Without enough money to buy an estate they decided to source the best farmed grapes and make wine in their garage winery. Aromas of sweet tropical fruits and citrus notes. Flavors of apple, peach and cinnamon spice with lively acidity on well balanced frame. Lingering finish ending with citrus mineral notes. Tremendous value. — 9 years ago
Nice with steak! Smooth and enjoyable. — 9 years ago
Mining the cellar and came across these '06s...pleased this vintage has developed this well — 10 years ago
Very nice wine. Got such a deal on this bold red. — 11 years ago
This merlot almost has a Cabernet flavor but isn't as dry. Really liked it. — 12 years ago
Could wait on drinking other bottles of this for another 5 years. Delicious tonight…I expect better in a few years. — 4 years ago

Great earthy wine for the price — 6 years ago
Stunning. Love the pure 667 clone. Strawberry with floral notes. — 6 years ago
Happy birthday to me! Well, to Mrs Feyereisen as well. Celebrating tonight before heading overseas for 10 days and what a bottle this was. Kosta Browne is always special but this may have been my favorite - cola and cherry notes ride along a finish that sails on for at least a minute. Lucky to have snagged a handful of these last summer. Cheers all! — 8 years ago
Delightful — 9 years ago
Blackberry, with some tannins up front. Mid of berry, cherry and tannins continuing. Finish of fennel and blackberry. May be better with some aging. — 9 years ago
A masterful Wallenda balance between fruit, tannin and oak … prominent dark berry fruit without being overly forward. Not big in body, but deep and long on taste. Aging really well. Sold out now, but was $40 when released. — 11 years ago
Really good!! Soft, very dry a little spicy — 12 years ago
