Relatively light for a Chateauneuf, but so tasty. Light spicey flavour profile. Refreshing and, dare I say, burgundian. Prefer the Rhone 14s hugely over the 13s! — 8 years ago
Sweet and smooth, but not overly sweet either. — 9 years ago
Certainly not what I expected from a Pinot Noir....it was even better!! Served at my super hip hotel in San Francisco. Hotel Zeppelin — 9 years ago
Sweet and refreshing. A little syrupy. Nice peach notes. — 9 years ago
Surprising good. Not super sweet balanced acid and floral notes. Delish! Bring on... Dare I? Crème anglaise and berries — 10 years ago
Great color, like 20yrs younger. 1st nose was like red meat. After 4-5hr decant the fruit came out and had a nice tart cherry black currant bite. Somewhat austere but still a great example of older well kept BDX. Not for everybody, but for me very enjoyable. Awesome grip for over 40years old. Dare I say almost young. Great stuff. — 10 years ago
Seriously Total Wine, how dare you gouge people on this wine! If you think Merlot doesn't have "umph," you NEED this wine! Oh yeah, I sell it for $16.99, not $25. — 10 years ago
Thick delicious apple! Best cold — 11 years ago
Great with chipotle rubbed pork and peppers, decanted an hour but really hit its stride after about 90 min. — 12 years ago
Great sweet wine on hot days! — 8 years ago
All Malbecs should aspire to this... — 9 years ago
Deep red, almost purple with big blue/black fruit aromas and zesty floral spice. The palate is full of fresh fruit, blueberry and blackberry with sweet cinnamon flavors. Firm but approachable tannins for this full body wine that lingered with a racy edge. Great value at $20 that may possibly keep in the cellar for a few years of you dare. — 9 years ago

Wow. Pale golden color with mild grapes on the nose. Mouth is sweet with hints of citrus and dare I say apple?! Wow — 8 years ago
A bold, robust first touch to the lips. This elegant number gets better with a breath of fresh air. I dare you to take a sip in the beginning and hold back (if you can) and then half way through your delicious meal, go back for seconds. You will have a completely new flavor on your hands my friend. — 8 years ago
First of all, too young. Explosive, spicy, chocolate, lilac, cassis and definitely on the Purp side of what I enjoy. Still a balancing acidity and formidable tannins that sneak up on you like a Barolo and end up hitting you square in the face and saying "don't you dare, you smug SOB". This is going to be my favorite wine in a decade or two and I'm going to wish I bought more. — 9 years ago
Delicious with lamb chops — 9 years ago
I loved the berry flavors in this wine. A little sweeter than most Merlots - delicious! — 10 years ago
