Fantastic estate Malbec. First Daou Malbec for me, and probably first Paso Malbec as well. Good structure and minerals, beautiful layers of red fruit, with more and more cassis notes as the wine opens up. Velvety and long finish. Impressive! Perfect for Day 22 in quarantine. — 4 years ago

Super Bowl Sunday kick off with this treat. Nicely balanced blend - 65% Cabernet Franc, 35% Merlot. Smooth but still abundance of structure and lots of fruit. Delicious. Will definitely benefit from some aging. Rating affirmed 8/27/19 at Daou Vineyards. — 5 years ago

Tasting the 2020 Soul of a Lion at Daou in Paso. And coincidentally, we were there on their last weekend as an independent winemaker. A nice goodbye before the corporates take over. Dark and concentrated. Beautiful cab. — 6 months ago
