Floral and exotic. A bit herbaceous and medicinal but in a good way. It's like smell of an old apothecary. Most interesting wine of the night! — 9 years ago

An interesting Red blend from Bethlehem.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and nice long legs.
Tangy finish with medium, round tannins.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, vanilla, wood, earth, barnyard, vegetables, spices, smoke and dark coffee.
Soft and smooth and very enjoyable. Feels like an old world wine.
Had it blind and called Austrian red. Wrong.
Made with local grapes grown around the winery. Organic.
13% alcohol by volume.
89 points.

Sweet. Nectar. Apricot. Rich with a floral nose. Israeli ice wine....simply lovely! — 8 years ago
I love Dan Standish. He is one of the best winemakers. Lovely wine, very young. Blueberry and Red silky fruit. Full Bodied but not overly alcoholic, heat isn't obvious in this wine. Great length and layers of flavours. Big points from me 95 points. A producer I highly recommend! Typical sweet Barossa fruit, very seductive... — 11 years ago
For kosher it's great. — 12 years ago
Delicious and crisp! Exactly what I look for in a Sauvignon blanc. Knew it would be good because it’s the side project of Dan Petroski (Larkmead). — 6 years ago
Super rich, dry tannic Kosher Cabernet Sauvignon with dark cherry and spice notes, from Galilee, Israel (Roche) — 7 years ago

👍🏼👍🏼 worked well with an Asian noodle dish with lamb. Little spice & everything nice. — 8 years ago
A great introduction to wine from the Holy Land. The high elevation gives a balanced tannin structure. With a dark cherry, and hint of pepper finish, this wine can handle any type of meat or cheese. — 8 years ago
Great find....under the radar gem! — 9 years ago
Tastes like apples! — 10 years ago
This was my favourite out of all of the wines I tried at the Tasting Room in Tel Aviv. Super expensive however. — 10 years ago

In my quest to compare old v new world kicking it off with olld world. I was worried this would be an oak bomb based on some previous vintages but there is restraint here. Golden vanilla and somehow green on the nose. The palate is bordering on rich but not. Cool climate fun that is balanced by baking spice and sass. I like this. If you want kosher for Passover (albeit not mevushal) this is for you. I’m neither of those things but finding it a pleasant Chard that flirts with oak just enough to keep enjoying. — 6 years ago
