Had a chance to meet Collioure grandmaster Bruno Duchêne last Friday @ Verre Volé à Tokyo | He owns 4 ha on schist soil and makes a very impressive grenache-based line up | 2008 La Pascole (90% grenache, 10% carignan) was fresh as a daisy! #glou — 12 years ago

This Italian Blanc de Blancs sparkler has bubbles for days. Well, at least for the good part of a minute. The pour produces a white, frothy head that looks like it won't dissipate, although it eventually does. The nose and palate both evoke crisp apples and the acidity is as fresh as the proverbial daisy. The toast note is more like a good piece of sandwich bread or boule.
It paired well with my wife’s delicious autumn vegetable soup and a crusty bread. — 10 years ago
Pale lemon in color. Notes of grass, lemon, honeysuckle, daisy. Medium plus acidity, medium minus sugar. Dry and refreshing. — 10 years ago
Not a birth year for me, but it was the year I was conceived. Perfectly stored at this mecca for Spanish wine, this was fresh as a daisy!
A garnet core with deep brick color intensity and lighter rose-orange at the edges.
The nose revealed with ease, and deeper with oscillation, the forest floor you expect, with mint, tobacco, cigar box, dried flower petals and mature red cherry and plum. The palate continued this attack, but without the mint. The flavors fanned out on the palate with an elegant, but unwavering persistence, adding tea and a very subtle iron component.
The acidity was pitch perfect, with silky and mature tannins that seemed to always be just the right amount of structure. A fantastic tasting experience and one I will not forget. #1976 #CVNE #rioja #tempranillo — 11 years ago

Dragonfruit and charred citrus, red hots, fir nettles, gaberra daisy, St. John's wort on the scintillating nose. Blood orange and baked lemon, snake venom that turns to talc! Terroir driven Otago, that serves as a reminder to purists! — 10 years ago
This is a great advert for the varieties, Malbec, Petit Verdot & Merlot, and for screwcap. This wine is delicious. Sapid, fresh , clean so easy to drink but with weight and complexity to provide interest. Ten years old and as fresh as a daisy. A lovely wine and easily a gold medal. — 10 years ago
Half acre makes a great aromatic brew in the D.Cutter. You would be well off having one or two on a sunny day because it's not as heavy as some of its other IPA compatriots! — 11 years ago

2014, but going strong! Very floral with daisy, carnation, orange blossom, suede, and yellow, heirloom tomato aromas that hover full and round. Medium mouthfeel that gets ripe strawberry before gracefully bowing out to bright lemon lime, this sings like a Moulin-A-Vent surprisingly, it is heavier than a Bandol or Tavel but it is a worthwhile wine paired with salmon, portabello and scallops in cream. Just the right weight. Great dry-fruit interplay of plum, dragon, and, guava. #foodwine #rosé #rosato #Buoncristiani #Napa #caliwinelove — 9 years ago
