Crooked Vine is my second favorite Cab. It's been a while since I had a bottle, but it is a nice complex Cab. — 10 years ago
2014 vintage. Burgundian in the barnyard category, balanced with the blueberry fruit. Intoxicating nose like a burgundy and fared well with dry aged steak. Wow. — 10 years ago
One of my go to Jammy Zins. For the price point a great wine. — 10 years ago
Bold maneuver by Joe Swick of co-fermenting Pinot Gris & Noir results in a pleasurable puzzle of a wine, like listening to Ornette Coleman get rid of chord changes, this wines interacts w perceptions at a radical pace. The Pinot Gris actually supplies more tannic chew that buzzes on the palate while the Noir presents a folk melody structure to wrap your mind around. The collision is rather haunting, and I can't wait to understand how it goes with food in surprising ways. I'm gonna glass this sucker at Americano! — 11 years ago

Super concentrated Cab from DelDotto's St. Helena vineyard. Modest on the nose with vanilla and smoke. Dense and rich palate of black fruits, jam, and chocolate. 60 second, almost gritty finish. Drinking great now and will hang for a good bit. Intense, but less decadent (in a good way) from more recent vintages. — 9 years ago
