Maybe it's the rolling hills of the northern Tuscan countryside or perhaps it's the ativan I took before popping into this bottle of Toscana Vermentino, either way it's quite enjoyable with green almond and subtle grapefruit flavors, with crisp acidity and subtle minerality. Nice FAB and complex flavors. — 10 years ago
Phenomenal, but there's a strong possibility the overall experience of savoring this wine on a beautiful day in the Tuscan countryside may have slightly impacted my rating. This is a wonderful property situated in a phenomenal setting in one of the mist picturesque regions of Italy. — 11 years ago
Kevin Judd's masterpiece of Sauvignon Blanc. Ripe greengage plum, golden apple & green-yellow citrus. Feral (in a good way) NZ countryside in the summer. — 12 years ago
A countryside beauty. Resembles Chinon without the typical flaws or blemishes. — 9 years ago
Classic Brunello aromatically. You can almost smell the Tuscan countryside! This 2011 is drinking well. Ripe wild cherry notes, tannins are evident but working amazingly well with eggplant parmesan. Too hot for Amarone, looking for Italian wine, this great value Brunello was an excellent choice. Could be held for another 12 to 15 years if so inclined, but don't miss out on this opportunity. Fruity, oaky. First Tennessee wine I've really liked. — 10 years ago
Fantastic everything I want in a Tuscan wine! Nose is phenomenal warm Tuscan countryside, whiff of sweet spice, warm nutmeg, real liquorice and tell-tale macerated cherry. For the UK price, excellent value. — 11 years ago

Damp countryside nose, hints of dark berries, with some bright hues peeking through on the pallet, small spice and slight dry on the finish - unique old world wine done with class — 12 years ago
This is what Brett smells like in a wine and I love it: farmyard, manure, countryside, and stables. — 10 years ago
On a tour through the countryside this week. Smells like, well, what it's supposed to: barnyard and wet leaves. I kept looking for some fruit in the aroma, but left empty handed. Taste is a great foil. Bright red fruit, aged olives, tobacco. Gamey, chalky core. A favorite! — 10 years ago
Great dolcetto that seems to have a hole in the bottle 😀 Enjoyed in great company in the countryside near Carru Italy — 10 years ago
A heady aroma, as robust as a Sangiovese, yet deeper with intense red berries. The instant olfactory memory evoked is one of the French countryside, an environment where food is straight from farm to table. The initial taste is fresh with a round mouth-feel, fruits contrasted by sharp tannins. It evolves into spice, tobacco, freshly chopped wood; all the while performing a try-partite symphony on the palate - well balanced between sharp, mellow, and deep earthy flavours impossibly cascading over the senses all at once. The finish is savoury and sweet, it begs for a taste of strong cheese, and leaves the mouth watering - dearly anticipatory of the next sip.
Truly an exquisite find. — 11 years ago

Red fruit at first, hints of countryside; like fresh air when the farm is down the road. Earthy and somewhat fruity. Earthy finish. Nice. — 9 years ago
