Les Vignes Oubliees Terrasses Du Larzac Red Rhone Blend

Upon recommendation from the wine ship guy, i opened this 2-3 hours before tasting, which was good, except for tge fact that it got too warm. I popped it back in the fridge for 20 minutes and then it was perfect. Very fruit forward and fresh with a nice structure despite its youth (2017 tasted in August 2019). All the guests loved it. — 6 years ago

Le Prestige Coteaux du Languedoc Saint-Drézéry Grenache Syrah 2013

In an attempt to "hang" with my wine distributor friend tonight, I ventured out of my comfort zone with this syrah grenache blend and was pleasantly surprised. RP-kissed this one for a reason - big and bold - aromatic - a very good value drinkable. Paired nicely with my salmon and spinach salad. By day, I seek value in the bond market to pass along to my customers, so this got me thinking: what is/are the best value wine(s) you're drinking right now?? #sharethelove — 9 years ago

That's a tough one Meg. So many great chefs in this town. The 3 we frequent the most would be- 1. FIG. 2. The Macintosh 3. McCrady's.

Austere at first, but became really pleasant after 15 minutes in the glass--woody herbs, tobacco, bramble, licorice, mushrooms and graphite. Fine tannins with a long juicy finish. Yum! — 10 years ago

Great minds…I’m drinking the 2020 with a burger right now. It was my first thought for a pairing. Perfect for this cold Paris evening! It’s one of the wines I drink when I find myself missing California.
