I've had many vintages of Calon-Segur; this may be the oldest. The cork was perfect even with nearly 20 years of bottle aging. It took about an hour for the glass to open. Typical of Grand Cru Bordeaux, the bouquet was pleasant and graceful. A great value for under $130. Cheers!! — 10 years ago

2nd bottle in 2 mos - still very good despite low fill/soaked cork. — 10 years ago
Mellowed bananas and roasted nuts. Very smooth. Jameson as it could be — 10 years ago

I'd get to drinking your 97's now. Good...great actually but beginning to lose a lot. Cork was quite soft on mine. Flavor...like California...but smoother ;-) — 10 years ago
Heavy yeasty autolytic notes on nose & palate. Developed stone fruit, approachable acidity. As it sat in glass & warmed a touch of cork came through on the nose. Must drink faster :) — 10 years ago
'84 - pebble cork but the wine is excellent — 10 years ago
Cork was crumbly. Slightly past it's prime, but not corked. Soft and lovely and supremely balanced! — 12 years ago

Peach, strawberry, little bit of nuttiness, lees and citrus. Pretty wine. — 10 years ago
