Served as our house wine at Calvin’s First Communion. Delightful peach and honey notes. Light floral bouquet and a steal at $10 per bottle at BJs! — 6 years ago
Tastes like Welch’s grape juice! Reminds me of communion. Tastes better cold than at room temperature. — 7 years ago
Wellll this is my second favorite of the Champagnes I just got schooled in as part of the effervescence LA event I’m lucky enough to be attending for @Delectable Wine ! It is also Geoff Kruth’s first pick. What can I say... it is classic. Elegant. Toast and almost caramel on the nose. It reminds me of a toasty communion bread dipped in perfect church grape juice and I know that sounds basic but this is like...magical communion. I’d commune with it all day. — 7 years ago

Yes! I've opened by Holy Grail (Sveti Gral) right after my first conscious Confession and Holy Communion! :)
Elegant, refined, emotive and feminine 100% Prokupac, aged 1 yr in barrels.
Dark garnet to dark red of some transparency, carmine rim.
Obducing nose of creamy cranberry, rosemary, raspberry, vanilla, dill, oregano.
Finely structured, well-rounded medium-bodied palate, flavored by lingonberry, cherry, pomegranate & ashberry hint.
Cranberry-driven silky lingering finish.
Pair: lamb leg baked with garlic and herbs. — 9 years ago

The ultimate communion wine — 6 years ago
Communion wine, originally made by the famous Josip Strossmayer in Djakovo, Croatia. Still made and sold by the church to this day. Needed to open up a bit, but worth the wait. Lively aroma, blueberries and cotton candy. Perfectly balanced, and a really pleasant finish. Only paid 35 kuna (about $5) at the Cathedral in Djakovo, but would (gladly) pay much more back home. — 6 years ago
Great value bargain wine. Enjoyed at Ava's communion on may 2017 — 9 years ago
A baroness value selection... Top marks for value and not a bad bit of juice... Nice and light with narrowed flavours... This is a great bottle for a communion.. The family and friends will be impressed, you can drinks lots of it and still count the communion money...in saying all of this its a very good summer wine — 9 years ago
Luscious dark fruit showing flavors of grilled meat and smoke, yet medium bodied and with ample acidity to make the next sip instinctual. Divine comes to mind as the best descriptor. Drinking this puts me in communion with the earth. Sadly, KLWM doesn't import this one :( — 9 years ago
Nice sweet Passover communion tasting wine — 5 years ago
Pre-fastfood-pairing: citrus fun on the nose. Plush AF bubbles. I’m impressed. The Valdobbiadene Prosecco wines level up. Dried apricot and a hint of white wonder bread (in the best possible way I never had that as a kid except at communion—do I see religion in this wine?) and a..,well the texture hangs with me.
Update: does well with hash browns as bubbles and fried things are friends. And eggs and cheese. And the latent sweetness of an English muffin. Woot, etc — 6 years ago
Oldest winery in New Zealand, so they claim. Missionaries from the French Catholic Church settled near Napier, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand back in 1851 and started making wine for sacrament, communion. Now it is one of the largest wineries, big business. Well over a 100,000 cases per year. The wine however, was good. Especially their Cab/Merlot blend. It was rich in taste, expressive fruit of plum, currant and dark cherry. Tobacco tannins. Well balanced with a soothing finish. — 6 years ago
At the meeting dinner. Communion Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir. — 8 years ago
Wish they poured this on Sunday's at communion — 9 years ago
🙌🏻. This wine has restored my belief that Oregon can produce complex amazing Pinots. I had been through about 12 jammy, too fruity, one note wines. This mother complexity had cherry, spice, earth tones, a little barnyard, and subtle baking slices. Here's to you new world. — 9 years ago
13.5%. Smooth as butter. Even has the slight sourness of grape. Light-medium body with a pleasant nose and just enough character. You could pretty much serve this at communion. For $10 at Costco, a complete steal. — 9 years ago

A bright refreshing wine, nothing pretentious. Notes of tour de Franzia and my first communion. Echoes of assumed sophistication on the foretaste with a strong finish of forgotten French class. Would defo drink again and think it was the first time. — 5 years ago
