Who gives a shit about Soave let alone Gambellara. But this is surprisingly delicious. Kind of Chablis-y. Flinty minerals and green apple lime zest. Paired perfectly with The Mollusk... You can get another drop of this. Yeah you wish. I drank the whole thing. — 9 years ago
Had at la grolla, very good. Lots going on, here's to Rossi di montalcino — 10 years ago
Big, bold and delicious from the dark dark cherry colors and complex nose of leather, slight licorice, hearty mushrooms, dried oak limbs... Through the first sip that suffuses the palate with steely minerals and then slides into those favors mid-palate that were in the nose. An acidic finish that will undoubtedly round and mellow in coming years... And likely if I have patience to let it breathe.
