Just great juice.
After a good decant the Old Poodle Dog Cab (from Coho wines- a serious favorite) opens to a plush & sweet little beauty. A bright nose of cherries and some lavish oak roll onto the palate with an open and lively character. All-in, the Old Poodle Dog is a friendly, juicy Napa Cab that can be (thoroughly) enjoyed this very moment with a little bit of a decant and a juicy cheeseburger. — 10 years ago

Third bottle of the night and the second time I've had this wine. Honestly, it didn't stand-up like it did before. Maybe it's because it follow Opus Overture and a 2010 Coho Headwaters. Very good wine, but tonight it felt less refined, over Oaked, and spice / tannins that weren't as well integrated as I would have hoped. — 9 years ago
Seek this. Amazing depth. Great fruit and acidity. Well made. Served with coho salmon and loads of butter and chives. — 10 years ago
Super tasty wine! Smooth, full body and easy tannins. Paired it spontaneously with Coho salmon pasta and it worked really well! — 11 years ago
My first Coho. Powerful nose. Deep purple rim. Flavors of blackberry, cinnamon spice, and oak. Strong tannins and firm finish with spice. — 10 years ago
Outstanding Cab. Shows why 08 Cali cab is way more cellar worthy than 07. Blackberry, cassis, blueberry tootsie roll, if there is such a thing. Asian spice, cinnamon, nutmeg notes. Fine grained with excellent grip. Wish I had more — 10 years ago
Good value and enjoyable PN from NOTL. The nose sweet dark fruits with a hint of forest floor. The front is cherry to leather , spice and finish of limestone salt . Non of these over power the other and translation as medium vs dynamic. Had with fresh Coho Salmon, roasted red pepper and fingerling potatoes - Great! — 12 years ago
